PASTOR BIO

Dr. Jordan Patrick Rabon was born in Des Moines, Iowa and was raised in the Christian Faith while attending Union Baptist Church of Des Moines. Jordan was licensed to preach at the age of eight years old on June 8th, 1997 by Pastor Henry I. Thomas. Faith is a significant part of his life and development into becoming a man of integrity and Godly fear. Without the example of Christ and the salvation of Christ, Jordan states he would not be at the stage of life he is. He is married to the former Jessica Marie Robinson of Bartow, Florida. Together they are the parents to three beautiful and lively girls. Jordan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Iowa State University and a Master of Arts in Biblical Exposition from Liberty University. In October of 2014, Jordan assumed the pastorate of King of Kings Missionary Baptist Church in Des Moines, Iowa. His scripture of inspiration is Romans 8:28, “and we know that all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord, and are the called according to His purpose.” 

Jessica Robinson-Rabon, a Florida native, is a Professor of English at Des Moines Area Community College, Senior Logistics NCO for the Army Reserves, and a licensed minister. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of South Florida, a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Columbia Southern University, and a Certificate of Graduate Studies in Composition Studies from Indiana University. 

Jessica began her ministry training at Victory Freewill Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida under the leadership of Pastor Jamie Overstreet, and was licensed January 2013 at Union Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Henry Isaiah Thomas. She has served in several areas of ministry including Youth Ministry, Singles and Young Adult Ministry, Prayer Ministry, and teaching both Sunday School and Bible Study. Her belief is that all areas of ministry are vital for the building of disciples and the Kingdom of God, but her passion is in teaching and educating the body of Christ and all who want to know about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the word of God.

Jessica is married to Jordan P. Rabon, Pastor of King of Kings Missionary Baptist Church in Des Moines, Iowa. Together they have 3 daughters. She is a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Inc., and believes in serving her community and educating women and their children for the progress of us all. In her free time, she loves to travel to both domestic and international locations and spend time with her family and friends. 

Jessica testifies to Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
